Faith United supports various non profit organizations all having their own unique impact on the world. We feel these organizations represent the many forms of God's grace locally, regionally, and internationally.  

 

Della Lamb - Della Lamb offers hope and assistance to low-income Kansas City people of all ages.  Programs are designed to create self-sufficiency through education, job training, and support services.  The goal is to build each client's self-esteem, self-reliance, self-worth, independence and sense of ongoing security.

 

Festival of Sharing - The Festival of Sharing seeks to generate financial, material, and personnel resources for hunger, poverty, crisis, and injustice.
Meet and challenge injustice through advocacy and systemic change. Promote awareness of hunger and justice issues, local and international outreach opportunities, and resource steward ship possibilities. Encourage and enable hands-on experience with mission projects and local outreach agencies.

 

Grain Valley Assistance Council - Serves families in the Grain Valley area in need of food and general assistance. Our food donations occur on a monthly basis. Contact Mary Strack at strackm@communityserve.org

 

Mozambique Initiative - The Mozambique Initiative partners churches, groups and individuals with congregations and districts of the UMC in Mozambique. These partnerships strengthen the church in Mozambique and are the backbone of Missouri's mission and ministry. The covenants have literally saved lives by putting food on the table and building shelter for pastor families. 

 

Operation Christmas Child -  Operation Christmas Child is the largest children's Christmas appeal and has been running for over 19 years. Thanks to a huge army of volunteers who give their time to help make this Christmas 'miracle' come to life, we are able to deliver gift-filled shoeboxes to children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Local churches and charities overseas work together to ensure that a shoebox gets delivered by hand to children who need it most. Our approach is to give shoeboxes to children in need, regardless of their background or beliefs

 

Restart - Restart's mission is to provide time, space, and resources in a supportive environment for homeless person's seeking to move toward independent living. 

 

Project Patricia - Project Patricia makes cloth, reusable maxi pads and send them with Missionaries to be distributed to women and girls of menstruating age. Our mission is to bring glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ through service to women in Africa by meeting a physical need as an avenue to demonstrate Christ's love and share His Gospel with them.
